Food Expo kicks off on Thursday, media preview tomorrow

Concurrent events showcase beauty products, homewares
and teas from around the world

13 August 2024 – The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) invites media for a special preview of its five August fairs – HKTDC Food Expo, HKTDC Beauty & Wellness Expo, HKTDC Home Delights Expo, HKTDC Food Expo PRO and Hong Kong International Tea Fair – at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) tomorrow. 

The events will officially open on 15 August, along with the International Conference of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine and Health Products (ICMCM) which will be held on 15-16 August. The Modernized Chinese Medicine International Association is co-organising ICMCM with the HKTDC and 10 scientific research institutions.

During the media preview, a curated selection of speciality food and beverages from the Food Expo will be showcased, including Spanish suckling pig, Thai green curry, Japanese soy sauce, ready-to-eat Korean vermicelli and more. 

Media are welcome to explore other featured products at the other four events.

Notes:

  1. Media representatives should present their business cards and press cards at the Press Registration Counter (Hall 1D Concourse) or the HKTDC Media Centre (G/F, HKCEC, 1 Expo Drive, Wan Chai) to collect their press pass. 
  2. A press area will be set up at the Special Stage for the Opening Ceremony (Expo Drive Entrance). The organiser recommends photojournalists use telephotographic lens for shooting.
  3. Please note: Due to the large number of media friends, each radio channel/television station is kindly requested to assign up to four representatives and each online media up to two representatives to attend each event.
